Welcome to UPC in The Villages
The Ukulele Players Club began with 8 strummers at our first meeting. We sat at tables, singing and playing from a limited songbook. Before long, we created 3 levels of classes to introduce new players to the ukulele, and enlarged our Songbook. To meet the needs of our growing group, we started projecting words and music "on the wall" for all to see. We have added a sound system with 4 microphones for folks who want to come up to a mic help lead a song. Come join our 125 singers and strummers on Thursday afternoons. Soon you will be playing along with us.

The Villages Recreation and Parks Department Honors Dennis McLean:
On Thursday, January 18, 2018, Mr. Jerry Townsend, the Lake Miona Recreation Center Assistant Manager presented a “Villages Recreation and Parks Department Certificate of Appreciation” to our own Dennis McLean for his commitment and dedication to the Villages Youth Summer Camp’s Ukulele Class and the recent Ukulele on the Square event (and not to his work within the UPC). The Summer Camp and the Ukulele on the Square have been highly successful due to Dennis’ efforts and his ability to organize the many dedicated volunteers for these programs. The Certificate was accompanied with a gold lapel pin.
When you get a chance, congratulate Dennis and thank him for his service.
